Facilities Director

Facilities Director jobs involve the delivery of a full range of hard and soft facilities services on behalf of an organisation, either through the management of a directly employed FM workforce, or through the management of outsourced service providers. Facilities Directors are also responsible for overseeing minor works and projects, selection and performance management of the FM contractor/supplier base and contribution to the long term corporate real estate strategy for the organisation. Usually Facilities Directors have total accountability for expenditure associated with FM services and also responsibility for overseeing the entire FM function from a staffing perspective, either on a regional, UK wide or international level. 

Facilities Director employments are either client-side or within an FM outsourcing environment, although in the latter, actual job titles vary depending on the scope of the role and the nature of the client base. Common alternative job titles include Head of Operations, Regional Operations Manager, Account Director and General Manager, among others.
