Our client one of the leading Global multi manager /fund of funds managers have identified the need for an additional analyst within their UK regional investment team due to the continued growth of their business. The Analyst function is a critical part of their operation and the primary role of analysts is to support Portfolio Managers in the management of client portfolios. The role will comprise: 1. Investment analysis-The candidate will support portfolio managers in the analysis of investment opportunities throughout the UK. Each investment undertaken follows a disciplined due diligence process which includes assessing the manager of the fund, reviewing the investment strategy, property portfolio, fund structure (including governance, legal and tax structure and fees) and undertaking financial analysis. 2. Investment monitoring- The candidate will review quarterly reports from managers of funds for which he/she is responsible and attend quarterly meetings with the manager. The candidate will be expected to re-forecast expected returns for the funds he/she oversees. 3. Portfolio management - The candidate will assist in the management of separate account and pooled fund of funds clients. This role involves assisting in portfolio construction and ongoing management, and preparing quarterly reports on the portfolio for client reporting. The appropriate candidate must be able to demonstrate the following attributes: a minimum of two years credible experience of working in a commercial property asset management, finance, or research function; demonstrate attention to detail and numerical accuracy; excellent financial modeling skills; ability to articulate well both verbally and in writing; knowledge of the UK property market; an outgoing personality combined with a team player mentality; must be degree educated and preferably have a relevant accounting, economics, finance, or real estate qualification; and relevant professional qualification desirable but not essential, but willingness to complete a professional qualification is required.
