Our client is looking to recruit a Property Services Manager to join their finance team. The property management team work with property owners, chartered surveyors and Property management Agents. They carry out audit and accounting services, consultancy services and the certification of statements of service charge expenditure on behalf of tenants. The purpose of this role is to provide real estate audit, property management and service charge accounting work and being responsible for the management and development of the Property Management team. This involves monitoring and reviewing the department submissions on job appraisals and analyse them for trends, performance issues and development needs. Reporting to partners any planned actions that need to be taken. Coach and support team members both in their role and in team development, suggest ideas and concepts for increased marketing opportunities with existing clients. You will assume full responsibility for preparing and presenting internal and external presentations/training courses, when required. Other responsibilities include managing the junior staff in the audit team and reviewing the service charge audits prepared by them as well as ensuring all their files have been conducted in accordance with the firm's guidelines. You will then ensure partners review and sign off planning papers, to ensure fieldwork of the audit can start within a timely manner. This is a very client facing role where you will be liaising with clients on issues which affect their business, explaining when necessary in 'laymen' terms the technical issues they face and how they can be resolved and ensuring each clients company accounts are filed within statutory timelines. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT A QUALIFIED ACCOUNTANT (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent) You will be up-to-date on UK GAAP/IFRS knowledge. Property management experience is advantageous with proven corporate audit experience. £50,000 - £62,000. City.
