Pocket Living, established in 2005, is a residential development company with a vision to provide city living homes at 20% below market rate. Their core mission is to create communities with space and energy-saving solutions for modern lives.

The Brief

Macdonald & Company were asked to devise a recruitment strategy for a new concept and new brand in the congested London development market. Since 2015 Macdonald & Company has been the exclusive recruitment partner to Pocket Living, enabling it to meet year-on-year double growth in recent years. We have helped to place 80 professionals in the company, from Land Buyers, Project Managers and Design to Finance, Marketing and Sales positions.

Solutions

A dedicated team of two established on hand for the project, whereby we conducted:

• Careful construction of job descriptions and adverts based on the market
• Promotion of the key leaders  at Pocket Living through our podcast series
• Continual support of the lean management structure covering all recruitment and HR matters
• Recruiting across all business departments, including; finance, development, project, sales, marketing and operations
• A blend of recruitment tools to handle board-level posts to business support departments

Consecutive successful placements with a blend of rising stars and seasoned operators, many of whom now occupy key board positions, meaning they are now responsible for running and shaping the business of the future.
