Macdonald & Company is proudly partnered with a national Affordable Housing Developer, Owner, and Operator to appoint a Market Leader for Denver, CO to join in a Director or Vice President of Development position.The group boasts a track-record of 12,000+ units delivered across 18 US states, and bring a mission-driven goal to provide sustainable, affordable projects to the benefit of local communities.
With multiple projects ongoing across the entire US, the group now seek a talented developer to identify and oversee multiple active projects across Denver and surrounding markets, inclusive of Utah, Nevada, and Arizona, as well as increase their deal flow and project pipeline.
The Position
As the firm are committed to increasing it’s pipeline in Denver, this individual will take on a sourcing role to originate ground-up affordable housing developments across suburban and urban-infill sites.
The individual will executive on deals, working full-cycle/soup-to-nuts, utilizing internal accounting & finance teams as well as the construction team’s expertise, to deliver projects through to stabilization.
Target Experience
- 5-15 years of full-cycle development experience, affordable housing being strongly preferred
- Ground up Affordable Housing/Multifamily deal-sourcing experience, with an active network in Denver, CO
- A community-driven approach to affordable housing development
- Leadership capability; ability to hire, train, mentor, and coach internal staff and external consultants
- Finance expertise, inclusive of underwriting and presenting opportunities for pursuits
- Ability to work in tandem with in-house construction team, ensuring projects stay on schedule and in budget
