Job Summary
This is an exceptionally rare opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor from a consultancy to move in-house and join a busy retailer in their new Cost Management team.Based in their Derbyshire office most of the time, you'll become integral to costing a variety of schemes across the UK and Europe, with projects ranging from small upgrades to existing stores, all the way through to projects involving multiple new-builds and openings.
Joining a small team of 2 in the Quantity Surveying department, this is the ideal time to make the move over to join them while they grow something really exciting from the ground up. There is FULL APC support for you if you're not quite MRICS chartered yet, and once you are then there is a long and fulfilling career there for you as well with scope for progression to Senior Cost Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor and beyond.
You will work in a very busy and friendly office in Derbyshire, using the skills from your Quantity Surveying degree to the fullest in this exceptional opportunity to springboard your career forward and become a well-known name in the arena.
You do need to have some post-graduate experience as a Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor, ideally at consultancy in the built environment - but if you don't please don't let it put you off applying, there's a lot of flexibility for the right person. You'd be client-facing from the start, so good communication skills are paramount above and beyond any particular sector of experience.
