An exciting opportunity has arisen with a small business of Chartered Surveyors and Town Planners as they look to grow further and continue to work with major estates, public sector bodies, local authorities and private developers.
Working as both project manager and planning consultant, you will be acting as both client and consultant depending on the scheme and requirements of the site. Main projects will be across the agricultural, industrial and residential development as well as major site promotion for urban extensions across the North West including the allocation of over 5,000 new homes in two emerging draft local plans.
As a chartered Town Planner, you will have a fantastic understanding of the UK planning system and particularly the local planning authorities and their attitude towards development. You will be managing planning applications through to submission, attending local plan enquiries, offering sound planning advice to clients and negotiating with LPA's, all as part of your daily tasks.
The successful candidate will be working at a high level, be a team player and show a strong initiative. They must be well organised, have a commercial outlook on their own role and also in their attitude towards development and be able to act in a project management role on behalf of clients.
