Our client is a national landlord, with properties in NorthWest, Mpumalanga, Freestate and Gauteng, they manage all of their properties in-house, and as such is looking to appoint an Maintenance Manager to look after a portfolio of around 600 000sqm.
Your main responsibility would be to uphold and maintain the buildings in your care, ensuring that they are safe and compliant, identifying areas of risk and improvement.
In this position you will need to manage a team of roughly 40 staff, consisting of building caretakers, electricians, plumbers, handymen and other artisans. You will also be in-charge of all the maintenance projects, prioritising planned and non-planned maintenance, and ensuring quality of work is done.
Although this it a Gauteng based position, it will see you frequently travelling to various sites.
To be a suitable candidate you will need at least 3-5 years experience in a Property Maintenance position, preferably posses a technical qualification, a valid driver's licence, a proven ability to manage teams of artisans and subcontractors, and a stable employment history.
