Leading UK Real Estate Asset Manager backed by a leading Asian Fund Manager requires a Senior Asset Manager to manage office/commercial assets in the UK.Key responsibilities

  • The Asset Manager will join a small, highly experienced team.
  • The Asset Manager report into the Head of Asset Management and CEO.
  • Evaluate, establish, and implement detailed business plans and asset management strategies.
  • Ensure thuese plans meet all investment objectives and maximize total returns.
  • Develop highly detailed business and strategic operating plans at both a financial and physical level.
  • Assume responsibility for the execution of individual asset level and joint-venture level business plans.
  • Monitoring of performance against budgets, income and cost control, project timetables and exit strategies.
  • Oversee quarterly valuation reports and financial projection models in Excel with the in-house analyst team.
  • Financially appraise and monitor all capital expenditure programs.
  • Establish high-quality commercial relationships with all direct tenants, jv-partners, external service providers etc
  • Where appropriate, directly negotiate leases, rent reviews, and lease re-gears to enhance commercial value
  • Drive landlord and tenant relations.
  • Select, instruct, and manage all 3rd party service providers.
  • Ensure consistency in approach, leveraging specialist skills and achieving efficiency cost savings.
  • Undertake relevent reporting requirements for all external advisors to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Take ownership of asset management reports to investors
  • Present asset management performance reviews on a regular basis with the team and investors.

The Person

  • Bachelor's Degree (2:1 or higher) in Real Estate, Engineering, Architecture, Business, Economics or Finance.
  • At least 5-10 years of relevant real estate asset management experience required.
  • The level of appointment will depend on experience.
  • MRICS qualified.
  • Demonstrable hands-on asset management experience in office & business park space in London/South East.
  • Relevant asset management experience within a private equity fund or real estate investment/aasset manager.
  • Other backgrounds could include a private property company or leading real estate advisor/broker.
  • Track record of undertaking repositioning, redevelopment & refurbishment of office/commercial assets in the UK
  • Proven experience and focus within London and the South East office/commercial sector.
  • Demonstrate hands-on asset management experience across direct real estate and operating partners.
  • Ideally experience with value-add and income producing assets across the UK.
  • Ability to handle large volume of work; good organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and with fellow employees as part of a transactional team.
  • High commercial acumen with entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Fluency in English.
