Job Summary

Opportunity:
  • Macdonald & Co. is excited to announce its partnership with a leading private residential real estate developer in the search for an ‘Asset Manager’, focused on managing the group’s portfolio of multifamily assets and based in Nashville, TN.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of 10-14 multifamily assets, including developing and presenting business plans, maintaining internal asset valuation models, and providing regular reporting.
  • Lead asset financing endeavors, from underwriting and negotiating terms to managing transactions and coordinating closings.
  • Drive asset disposition initiatives, including negotiation, investor presentations, financial modeling, due diligence, and closure coordination.
  • Collaborate closely with construction teams and development partners to monitor projects under construction, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Participate in strategic decisions regarding unit upgrades, floor plans, branding, marketing, pricing, and lease-up budgets.
  • Assist in reviewing and negotiating vendor contracts, managing property taxes, and handling significant insurance claims.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analyses to inform asset strategies and present investment recommendations to senior management.
  • Liaise with intermediaries to evaluate financial data at the asset and portfolio levels.
  • Interface with external parties such as brokers, attorneys, and vendors, as well as internal stakeholders including legal, accounting, and risk management.
  • Maintain weekly performance reports, communicate with property management and senior leadership, and nurture relationships with industry contacts.

 
Your Qualifications:
  • Strong academic background in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, or Mathematics is preferred.
  • Minimum five years of experience in asset management, with a focus on multifamily properties.
  • Experience in traditional financing, transaction execution, and familiarity with HUD processes are advantageous.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to foster successful relationships.
  • Strong presentation skills and an organized approach to teamwork.
