Job Summary

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor at a leading multi-national real estate investment and development business to support the delivery of cutting-edge design led mixed use schemes in some of the capitals prime locations.

This business has firmly established itself as a major real estate investor and developer with an impressive track record of collaboration with leading domestic and international architectural practices amassing an impressive sustainable development portfolio encompassing high end residential to industrial schemes.

They now have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to play a pivotal role supporting the delivery and cost control of a high-profile mixed-use scheme, undertaking the following responsibilities as part of a dynamic team.

Provide assistance to the Senior QS across core quantity surveying activities
Assist with the preparation of project estimates
Assist with the coordination of supplier tenders
Production of cost comparisons and organization of supplier quotations
Maintain and update cost plans for various stages of development and construction projects
Evaluation of project data and production of analysis reports
Assist with the preparation of scope of works documentation
Provide cost reporting analysis
Preparation of procurement scheduling
Maintain and evaluate project cashflows
Liaise and support project and site managers in relation to QS specific queries or issues relating to the progress of the scheme
Undertake contract and procurement negotiations

The successful candidate will have acquired commercial experience as an Assistant, Trainee or Graduate Quantity Surveyor at construction or real estate development business preferably operating within the residential sector.

In addition, you will have a Quantity Surveying degree (or affiliated subject) 2:1 and above or a vocational qualification specific to this profession with good Excel and reporting skills.
