Job Summary

My client are a leading cost and project management consultancy based in South Dublin. They are currently strategically looking to hire a new Associate Director / Project Management Lead to help expand their project Management business. Are you a seasoned Senior Project Management professional with a passion for project delivery? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess the strategic vision to drive successful project outcomes? In this pivotal role, you will play a leadership role, overseeing all aspects of project management for our clients, ensuring successful project delivery and client satisfaction. Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Project Management team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Develop and implement effective project plans, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Manage project teams, including architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, and other consultants, fostering open communication and collaboration.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies to minimize delays and disruptions.
  • Oversee client communication and ensure clear and transparent project updates throughout the lifecycle.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure financial viability throughout the project.
  • Identify and secure new project opportunities, contributing to the growth of the companies project portfolio.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in project management methodologies.
  • A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in construction project management .
  • A proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
  • Membership in a recognized professional body (RICS, CIPD, APOPM, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • A strong academic background, preferably a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with a collaborative working style.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and risk management principles.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A strong understanding of Irish building regulations and construction law (desirable).
  • A strategic mindset with a focus on business development and client relationship management.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach with a commitment to exceeding expectations.
