Job Summary
As a CAD Technician with a background in structural or civil engineering, you will be responsible for supporting the design and drafting processes for various structural and civil engineering projects. Your expertise in CAD software and understanding of structural and civil engineering principles will be crucial in producing accurate and detailed technical drawings.Responsibilities:
- Create detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD software based on input from engineers and designers.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Assist in the development of structural and civil engineering designs, including site plans, elevations, and cross-sections.
- Ensure that drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and project requirements.
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback and markups from the engineering team.
- Maintain organized documentation of drawings and revisions for reference and future use.
- Participate in design review meetings and provide technical support as needed.
- Stay updated on CAD software advancements and industry best practices.
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a CAD Technician in the structural or civil engineering field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and familiarity with BIM concepts.
- Strong understanding of structural and civil engineering principles and construction methods.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.
- Strong spoken English is essential
