Job Summary


Our client a leading real estate consultant and they are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team in Dublin

In this dynamic role, you'll play a key part in delivering exceptional service to our diverse client base across the irish property market. You'll leverage your expertise in building surveying to advise on a wide range of projects, from technical due diligence to project management and planned preventative maintenance.

What you'll be doing:

  • Conduct a variety of building surveys, including pre-acquisition surveys, dilapidation assessments, and reinstatement cost assessments.
  • Analyze building defects and prepare comprehensive reports with clear recommendations.
  • Provide expert advice on building regulations, fire safety, and accessibility standards.
  • Advise on the conservation and preservation of historic properties.
  • Manage and supervise building maintenance programs, developing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
  • Assist with project management tasks, including design review, contract administration, and cost control.
  • Undertake the role of Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) when required.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the Building Surveying team in Dublin.
What you bring to the table:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a qualified Chartered Building Surveyor.
  • A strong understanding of building pathology and construction methods.
  • Proven experience in conducting building surveys and preparing technical reports.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with building surveying software (e.g., CAD, NBS) is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license is desirable.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body (RICS ideal).
