Job Summary

We are partnering with a leading international casino development group, with an extremely strong brand name, and an exciting new property in South Korea.

THIS ROLE WILL BE BASED IN SOUTH KOREA.

Reporting to the President, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Casino Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the Integrated Resort's technology strategy and operations.

As the CIO, you will be responsible for managing the information technology (IT) department, ensuring the smooth operation of the organization's technology infrastructure, and driving innovation to enhance the overall guest experience, whilst ensuring rigourous cybersecurity measures are in place.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology management, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the gaming industry's security challenges.

Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the casino's business objectives, with a specific focus on cybersecurity.
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify and prioritize technology investments that strengthen cybersecurity defenses and protect the casino's assets and data.
  • Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain a robust security posture.
  • Create and maintain a technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with the casino's strategic goals and cybersecurity requirements.

IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Management:
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the casino's technology infrastructure, ensuring robust cybersecurity measures are in place.
  • Implement and enforce strong access controls, network security, and data encryption protocols.
  • Regularly assess and test the effectiveness of cybersecurity controls, and implement necessary adjustments to mitigate risks.
  • Monitor and respond to cybersecurity incidents, conducting thorough investigations and implementing incident response plans.
  • Stay abreast of evolving cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities, adapting security strategies to proactively address emerging risks.

Data Management and Privacy:
  • Establish and enforce data management policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance with applicable regulations, including data protection and privacy laws.
  • Implement rigorous data classification, storage, and retention policies to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential data breaches or privacy risks.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to data protection and privacy regulations.

Application Development and Support:
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of secure software applications that support the casino's operations, including gaming systems, customer relationship management (CRM) software, and reporting tools.
  • Foster a secure coding culture, promoting adherence to best practices and secure software development methodologies.
  • Conduct thorough security reviews of third-party applications and vendors to ensure the integrity of the casino's technology ecosystem.

Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and manage the IT department, ensuring the recruitment, training, and development of a high-performing team with strong cybersecurity expertise.
  • Foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness and accountability, providing ongoing training and awareness programs to employees.
  • Set performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide coaching and feedback to drive individual and team success in cybersecurity practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant cybersecurity certifications are preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CIO or similar technology leadership role within the gaming or hospitality industry, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity.
  • Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and software used in the casino industry, along with a strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies and controls.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to cybersecurity, data protection, and privacy in the gaming industry.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on proactive cybersecurity measures.
  • Familiarity with gaming regulations and experience working with regulatory bodies is a plus.
