Owning and managing a R3billion portfolio, our client has 23 buildings in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town. Although their focus is on housing, their CBD properties often include a commercial element on the lowest floor, and the organisation also owns a small mall, with more commercial properties currently being developed in a mixed-use precinct they will be managing.
To ensure that their tenants’ best interest are kept at heart, this dynamic company also carries out all the management of their properties internally from cleaning and security right through to property and asset management.
The team of existing residential portfolio managers has to date also overseen the commercial portfolio, but with the incoming properties as well as future growth projections, they are looking for someone to focus exclusively on the commercial property element of their buildings. Working with on-site building managers whom you will be expected to lead and develop skills in, your duties will include; tenant relations; budgeting and reporting; revenue & expense management; leasing; billings, collection & lease administration; marketing; stakeholder management. This role will have you on the road regularly, as your sites cover all geographic locations in the client's asset base.
To be a suitable applicant you will need to have a property or finance related degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role looking after a minimum of 20,000sm of commercial GLA. Experience in MDA is essential preferred. This position would best suit an ambitious, organised and pro-active individual.
