Job Summary


I am delighted to be working with an iconic London estate, responsible for a diverse and culturally enriched portfolio spanning retail & leisure businesses, world class healthcare providers, residential communities, and cutting edge educational institutions.

As Company Secretary you will report to the CFO and provide a full, varied, and highly professional company secretarial service to the estate. The scope of this role is exciting and you will be able to work in close proximity with a range of stakeholders and colleagues across multiple departments.
 
You will ensure good corporate governance, effective administration and compliance with laws, legislations and regulations that govern business is carried out at all times. You will be a crucial liaison service with shareholders, work closely with trustees and the board and organise quarterly board meetings and mid-year reviews. In this role you will also act as deputy anti -money laundering officer, ensuring full legislation compliance (GDPR and AML) is upheld as well as working closely with colleagues in pensions  assisting with administration around the defined benefits scheme.

This is a role requiring an experienced company secretary who enjoys interaction and being  part of a business where every person is known and matters. You will be a confident and organised individual, able to engage with a variety of characters across all levels and disciplines who is also ambitious and excited about the growth going on within the estate and all the new exciting challenges that lie ahead.

Key requirements and qualifications


  • Experience working as a Company Secretary or within a secretarial department
  • A knowledge/ keen interest in company law and or governance
  • Excellent command of the English language and superb interpersonal and communication skills
  • A qualification in Corporate Governance - preferred but not essential 
  • Qualified Solicitor or Accountant - preferred but not essential
  • The ability to work  to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects at one time
  • A problem solver with discretion and tact.
  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • Experience in real estate advantageous but not essential
  • A passion for real estate
