The Position
The Controller, working full-time in the Biltmore area of Phoenix, will become part of a rapidly expanding, full-service firm that specializes in real estate investment, development, and financing. The organization, along with its affiliates, owns and manages retail properties, with a primary focus on the commercial real estate sector.
- Manage comprehensive accounting processes for multiple related entities.
- Develop financial plans and performance evaluations.
- Oversee complex, multi-tiered chart of accounts to enable in-depth financial scrutiny.
- Autonomously establish accounting structures for new ventures and entities.
- Guarantee the precision of corporate financial records and documentation.
- Interact proficiently and professionally with company leadership, colleagues, external accountants, and financial institutions.
- Upkeep the real estate ledgers and sub-ledgers, analyzing month-over-month discrepancies.
- Conduct quarterly triple net (NNN) reconciliations for assessment and annual tenant communication and collection.
- Scrutinize property-related invoices for accurate coding and authorization, supervising accounts payable procedures.
- Contribute to departmental reporting, long-term business strategy, and financial projections.
- Support the monitoring of organizational cash flow and capital requirements for real estate development.
- Undertake financial assessments for assigned special projects.
- Execute additional responsibilities and special assignments as directed.
