Job Summary

We are exclusively seeking for our top tier UK client an experienced Director of asset manager to be based in Frankfurt, capable of independently managing real estate investments predominantly located across Germany, with the aim to maximise value and returns. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and independently implement asset management strategies across a number of asset classes, including leasing, financing, capital improvement and disposition (including sales negotiations), with a view to maximising returns
Transaction management for dispositions 
Oversee third party operating partners and property managers in their day-to-day management of the assets, and become involved in key decisions as appropriate, e.g. in negotiations with tenants for substantial new leases or rent reviews
Extract and review performance data on the assets, analyse the data, draw conclusions and manage the implications as appropriate
Regular review of business plans, leasing plans, capital programs and operating budgets for individual assets
Negotiate and approve leasing proposals and capital expenditures throughout the course of the year as well as monitor the cash flow from the investment
Participate in both internal and external meetings, negotiation of contracts and other agreements and support relationships with accounting and tax professionals, lawyers, consultants and bankers
Manage the debt financing on assigned investments and procure debt extensions, renegotiations, recapitalisations, etc. as necessary
Undertake portfolio analyses and asset reviews and prepare performance and ad hoc reports

EXPERIENCE:
Extensive transactions and asset management experience gained in a in a leading financial institution, professional services or investment environment, e.g. real estate management / private equity firm, advisory firm
Extensive knowledge of the German real estate market
German asset management experience essential; Pan-European asset management experience desirable
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of real estate values
Strong background in financing and modelling of real estate finance and investment cases

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong academics, educated at least to degree level, ideally in a business, finance, economics or real estate discipline, preferably with further relevant qualifications 
Fluent in spoken and written German and English languages; additional continental European languages desirable
Excellent financial, Excel modelling skills,detailed understanding of cash flow models, with proven capability (this will be tested at interview)
Keen eye for detail, able to spot discrepancies and inaccuracies in data / information being presented. Data management skills desirable
Top-class relationship management, influencing, interpersonal and communication skills
Detailed appreciation of the physical side of property, including all aspects of ongoing asset management, valuations and exits
Entrepreneurial demeanour/commercial acumen, strategically minded but hands-on in approach
