Our client has experienced tremendous growth in managing student accommodation in key South African locations over the past few years. They are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Student Accommodation Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operation of their student housing facilities located in Cape Town. A few of your responsibilities would include the day-to-day management of maintenance and facilities operations, coordinating maintenance staff, managing vendors, and ensuring that all facilities meet or exceed safety, maintenance, and cleanliness standards.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintenance Management
- Vendor Management
- Budget and Reporting
- Resident Satisfaction
- Health and Safety Compliance
To be an ideal candidate, you must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Prior experience in property or facilities management, particularly in student accommodation or a similar environment, is preferred. You should have an understanding of building systems, maintenance practices, and health and safety regulations. Additionally, you must have experience in budget management and cost control. A driver's license is also required for this position.
