Job Summary

Our client, a robust commercial real estate investment firm, are looking to appoint a Fund Associate to their finance team in Phoenix, Arizona. As the Fund Associate, you will play a crucial role in analyzing fund performance, coordinating with deal teams, and ensuring compliance with partnership agreements. Your responsibilities will include maintaining financial models, facilitating asset strategy exercises, and supporting investor relations activities. This role offers a competitive compensation package and a hybrid work schedule.


Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for analyzing fund performance by maintaining a detailed fund-level proforma in excel. Coordinate with Deal Teams to analyze new projects returns, fee calculations and individual deal carries.
  • Participate in ongoing property and fund level asset strategy exercises by running analyses that inform how capital is deployed while acting as a fiduciary and advocate for investors' interests.
  • Maintain current knowledge of partnership agreements as related to fund management and monitor Fund level loan and property level loan guarantee covenant requirements, review compliance certificates, and ensure all loan deadlines are met.
  • Generate quarterly performance reports for assigned fund(s), providing key insights and analysis.
  • Coordinate investor distributions and capital calls for assigned fund(s) to ensure short-term and long-term capital needs are met for optimum cash management.
  • Prepare annual valuations for all Fund assets
  • Lead bi-weekly asset meetings with project teams.
  • Assist in ongoing fundraising efforts by maintaining updated marketing materials and responding to due diligence requests promptly.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field from a four-year college or university.
  • Self-starter: proactive independent worker, who is not hesitant to ask for direction when required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented while also keeping the bigger picture in perspective.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (in both oral & written communication) and build positive and productive relationships.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
