Looking for flexibility in a non-corporate environment?As a small and unlisted private fund, our client is offering a Charted Accountant the opportunity to enjoy a hybrid working model which is outcomes based, in the beautiful city of Cape Town. Owning and managing 4 large industrial developments, their lean and mean team is headed up by industry stalwarts who are able to provide mentorship and direction, but who will rely on your technical expertise to take full control of all the financial aspects of running and growing a successful asset and investment management concern. To this end they are looking to appoint a creative and analytical thinker who has a minimum of 5 years post qualified experience, at least 1 of which would have been gained within the real estate industry.
They have already amassed nearly R2Billion in assets and are actively seeking other investment and capital raising opportunities which this role will support. Since their current Group Financial Manager is vacating the position to pursue personal interests in Johannesburg, we are searching for an Employment Equity candidate who is able to provide both supervision of all day-to-day financial operations as well as analytics and insights which will inform investment decisions. With the support of an accountant, this role is set to take charge of all property due diligences, financial modelling, preparing financials for each entity (10 in total), monthly financial reporting, consolidations, dealing with auditors, investor relations, client reporting, tax and developing compliance and control policies and procedures. As the organisation acquires additional properties, the role would also expand to include corporate governance, company secretarial duties, ESG reporting and developing compliance and control policies and procedures.
To be considered here, you would need to be comfortable working in a small team of people that are dynamic thinkers and who are comfortable being engaged in a wide spectrum of roles and responsibilities.

• You have a proven ability in consolidating more than 5 entities, VAT and PAYE returns, tax compliance and filing.
