Job Summary
It's not often you get the chance to come in and lead a team at an already-established building consultancy. A lot of the time, opportunities like these come with a caveat of needing you to bring clients and fees from Day One - an often impossible task due to restrictive covenants and, frankly, not knowing 100% if any clients and work would come from the off until you ask the question. However, this one is different.
Here there is plenty of work to tide you over until you can get things up and running as the new Head of Neighbourly Matters for the North. It would be your job to help lead the team across Manchester and Birmingham and deliver the work there alongside the building surveying consultancy offering, with one eye on the future to make new connections over time, help with recruiting more junior surveyors as well and generally grow the neighbourly matters service at this consultancy.
You do need to be able to demonstrate working at a senior level already as a minimum, either leading a team or part of it, and be successful at what you do as a building surveyor in consultancy. Specialism in Rights of Light, Party Wall or general Neighbourly Matters is obviously very useful too. You can be based from either Manchester or Birmingham, whichever is home to you.
Or if you're looking to relocate from London back to the Midlands, this could be a great way of making that move without necessarily needing to take the pay cut associated with a move outside the capital.
So if you're looking for that step up and that challenge to the next stage in your career, and want to find out if this is the opportunity for you, call Ed Collins on 0161 607 5084 or apply to this advert with either a CV or even just a note with your name and contact details and I'll get in touch with you.
