With a diversified retail and commercial portfolio valued over R3 billion, the business operates across development and asset management, offering a fast-paced, growth-orientated environment underpinned by a supportive and collaborative culture.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in safeguarding the organisation’s regulatory and governance framework. You’ll be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining compliance programmes that minimise legal and operational risk, while identifying, assessing and monitoring compliance exposure across the business. This includes maintaining risk registers and action plans, monitoring adherence to legislation, policies and industry standards, and proactively reporting non-compliance while advising internal stakeholders on corrective action. You’ll also conduct internal compliance reviews and audits, support both internal and external auditors, and prepare clear, insightful compliance reports, training material and governance updates for management.
This opportunity suits a legally trained professional with a law degree or diploma and 3-5 years’ supervised experience within a legal practice. A solid understanding of legal and compliance requirements is essential, with exposure to the property or real estate environment considered advantageous. Strong MS Office capability, attention to detail and the confidence to engage across departments are key.
