Job Summary
I have an exciting opportunity for a construction lawyer to join a privately owned developer with an award winning portfolio and an ambitious appetite for growth.Reporting to the General counsel you will be responsible for negotiating appointments and collateral warranties with no or minimal input from external lawyers as well as negotiating schedule of amendments to building contracts. In addition you will draft warranties and other documents and issue for execution as well as assist with other non construction related legal work streams including real estate and finance.
This is a small but highly effective set up so would be perfect for someone with a strong personal drive, who can work autonomously but also with others from multiple disciplines. It is fast paced and highly commercially driven so the successful candidate will be someone who thrives in this kind of environment where you can have an immediate impact.
Key qualifications and skills sought:
- A qualified real estate solicitor/ legal counsel with experience in non - contentious construction.
- UK legal experience.
- Non contentious construction and development experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
