Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistic Manager to join our construction company. As a Logistic Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the flow of materials, equipment, and personnel to ensure timely and efficient project execution. Your expertise in logistics planning, coordination, and problem-solving will be essential in driving the success of our construction projects.

Responsibilities:

Logistics Planning:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive logistics plans for construction projects, considering project timelines, resource requirements, and budget constraints.
  • Coordinate with project managers, procurement teams, and suppliers to forecast material and equipment needs and ensure timely availability.
  • Analyze project specifications and constraints to determine the most efficient logistics strategies and transportation modes.

Supply Chain Management:
  • Manage the procurement and inventory of construction materials, ensuring optimal levels and minimizing excess or shortage.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and resolve any logistical issues.
  • Implement efficient supply chain processes, including order placement, tracking, and delivery, to support project schedules.

Transportation and Distribution:
  • Coordinate transportation logistics, including route planning and selection of appropriate carriers, to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.
  • Oversee the loading, unloading, and storage of materials, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and minimizing damages or losses.
  • Monitor the movement of personnel and equipment to various project sites, optimizing resource allocation and minimizing downtime.

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience 5 years in logistics management, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics principles, supply chain operations, and transportation regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve logistical challenges.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and tools, as well as familiarity with inventory management systems.
