Surveyor (Rural Estate) – Join One of the UK’s Most Renowned LandlordsWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Surveyor to join our clients team, playing a crucial role in delivering a first-class repairs and maintenance service across their rural estate.
Purpose of Position: To deliver a high-quality repairs and maintenance service for a prestigious rural estate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct annual stock condition surveys.
- Instruct and supervise work for in-house maintenance operatives.
- Raise work orders for both in-house staff and external contractors, using Qube software.
- Produce accurate and concise reports using Office applications and bespoke software.
- Manage contractors and monitor their progress.
- Perform inspections, diagnose building defects, and develop specifications.
- Specify and implement thermal improvement works, particularly for older or listed buildings.
- Conduct quality assurance inspections and generate detailed reports.
- Project manage various contracts, including the preparation of tender documentation and oversight of contract works.
- Handle programming, financial control, and administration tasks.
- Prepare accurate estimates for building works.
- Update and maintain computerized records.
- Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety, including CDM regulations.
- Participate in the on-call rota as part of the Management and Reactive Service Team.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Become fully conversant with the estate's fire and emergency procedures.
- Engage in Continuous Professional Development.
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance.
- Comply with any reasonable instructions issued by management.
- Participate in the Management and Reactive Service Team call-out rota and the Estate's Fire Salvage team.
- Adapt to any changes in the business that may require alterations to this job description, with any changes being agreed upon as appropriate.
