Job Summary
Macdonald & Company is pleased to be exclusively retained by Endeavor Real Estate Group to find and appoint a Market Research Analyst to join their team in Austin, TX. The Market Research Analyst will join the Endeavor team to build and continue to elevate a best-in-class research database that differentiates Endeavor.You will have primary responsibility for collecting and analyzing industry and economic data, maintaining, and constantly improving the quality of our data, and working with the Office and Industrial brokerage teams to present data in a compelling and thoughtful way. The Market Research Analyst will assist in tracking and analyzing all aspects of the local Austin commercial real estate market, macro and micro economic drivers and demographics and will leverage that knowledge proactively for research products, client projects and business development efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Research, compile, and analyze office and industrial market and employment information
- Compile and draft various reports to distribute to clients and partners (with the assistance of the brokerage teams)
- Analyze the office and industrial market data to discern, identify, track, and forecast trends
- Compile and create market and building data reports as well as compelling visualizations (competitive sets, market insights, etc.) for clients and partners as needed
- Manage, compile, and regularly audit and refine datasets for office and industrial brokerage teams
- Develop strong relationships with internal partners and external clients and facilitate and build-out the use of our technology tools
- Statistical analysis of and reporting on Austin and potentially other office and industrial markets
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience in the Adobe Suite (specifically Photoshop & InDesign) and Google Earth Pro (a plus, not a requirement)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with problem-solving ability
- Strong analytical skills including a solid understanding of statistics and data management tools
- Excellent time management skills plus ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong understanding and ability to analyze LinkedIn, Indeed and other job search databases as well as compiling migration data tracking (a plus, not a requirement)
- Undergraduate degree in a subject relevant to the job description
- Detail-oriented and a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and manage workload
- A desire to work in the commercial real estate industry in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
