Job Summary
Our client, a leading property investment holding company listed on the JSE, boasts an impressive R180 billion premier commercial portfolio. Their investments are concentrated in prime nodes across South Africa's major metropolitan areas. Recently, they have expanded into student accommodation through a joint venture with a Student Accommodation Investor. This venture includes a portfolio of over 10 prime student accommodation residences, totaling approximately 9,000 beds with plans to grow to 10,000 before the end of next year. To support the continued success of their portfolio, they are seeking a Non-GLA Brand Partner who will report to the Head of Fund Management, Student Accommodation. This role will focus on monetising non-lettable space in their student accommodation buildings.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement strategies to generate revenue from non-bed/GLA spaces, such as outdoor media, on-site activations, and Wi-Fi advertising at the residences.
- Engage with corporate partners across various sectors (FMCG, financial services, technology/telecoms, media, etc.) and media agencies to create partnerships that drive non-bed revenue.
- Research and understand the needs and capabilities of internal clients.
- Submit monthly progress reports on initiatives and achievements.
- Identify and approach external brands, including retailers, corporate companies, manufacturers, and distributors.
- Drive and implement brand partnership opportunities that benefit both the partners and the relevant assets.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Relevant qualification in Business, Marketing, or Property.
- Established network of media partnership contacts.
