Job Summary

The Data Centre Operations Lead will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient functioning of our state-of-the-art data centre facility in Manila. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The Data Centre Operations Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of data services to our clients.
Key responsibilities in this role will include but not be limited to:
  • Operations Management - Oversee day-to-day operations, including monitoring and managing critical infrastructure components such as power, cooling, and security systems.
  • Team Leadership - Lead and mentor a team of data centre technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
  • Incident Management - Collaborate with other teams, such as Network Operations, Security, and Infrastructure, to address complex incidents and implement long-term solutions. Develop and maintain incident response plans to ensure effective handling of emergencies and business continuity.
  • Capacity Planning and Optimisation - Collaborate with Facilities and Engineering teams to plan and implement infrastructure upgrades and enhancements as needed.
  • Documentation and Reporting - Maintain accurate documentation of operational processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
To be the correct fit for this position, you must possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in operations, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
Other requirements include but are not limited to:  
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure components, including power distribution, cooling systems, and security protocols.
  • Proficiency in incident management, problem-solving, and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience working with industry standards and best practices, such as ITIL and ISO 27001.
  • Certifications in data centre operations (e.g., CDCP, CDCS) are highly desirable.
