Job Summary
Our client, a listed property fund, boasts a high-functioning commercial portfolio of buildings throughout the Western Cape. As they prepare for an exciting phase of growth through significant acquisitions, they are looking to employ an additional Operations Manager. This role is critical to maintaining the high standards they have set across their portfolio, ensuring smooth operations and satisfied tenants.As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day facilities management of approximately 20 commercial properties, accommodating over 150 tenants. While based in their head office in Cape Town’s CBD, you will ensure that each building is well-maintained, compliant with safety regulations, and that tenant issues are promptly resolved. Typical duties will include managing service contracts, coordinating repairs and maintenance, ensuring health and safety standards, and managing energy efficiency initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have proven capabilities in a similar role, preferably within a private or public property fund. With a minimum of 3 years of facilities management experience, you would have developed a strong operational skill set and the ability to navigate the complexities of multi-tenant environments. A relevant technical qualification is highly preferable to ensure your understanding of facilities-related terminology and maintenance protocols.
