Job Summary
An exciting position has opened within a London Borough for a Planning Officer. The role requires an Officer with experience to assist in addressing a backlog of applications and also new cases.Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and processing a diverse range of cases, including minor, complex medium, and small major applications. These involve residential mixed-use developments, changes of use, construction of new flats, individual homes, commercial/retail projects, listed building consents, infill housing, lawful development certificates, and community infrastructure.
- Conducting chargeable pre-application consultations.
- Carrying out pre-application discussions and site assessments.
- Negotiating Section 106 agreements, resolving conditions, and completing details on reserved matters.
Applicants should have practical Development Management experience and a history of handling various planning applications in urban settings.
