Job Summary
A Leicestershire based Local Planning Authority are looking for an experienced Principal Planning Officer, to assist with a diverse range of applications, as well as delegated sign off of Junior Planning reports.You will work within a vibrant area team managing a caseload of complex planning applications and strategic majors, ultimately offering real career progression for those Planners who have desire to become involved with large scale development.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to manage planning applications with diverse topography from densely developed urban areas to schemes in the greenbelt providing a broad and varied caseload.
Successful candidates will have acquired practical experience in Development Management as a Planning Officer or Senior with a proven track record of processing a variety of planning applications in urban areas.
In addition, you must have a degree in Town & Country Planning or an affiliated subject with good communication and report writing skills.
