Rapidly expanding, our client develops residential apartments and housing in all major metropolitan areas in South Africa for sale and to own and operate itself. Our client is a vertically integrated developer, running all processes from land acquisition, town planning, servicing and construction of sites and the sales and after sales support and operating of its own assets.
The team is young and dynamic, but with a pedigree of over 40 years of expertise and track record. You will become a member of the executive team, responsible for all day-to-day operations of the business as well as external stakeholder relationships and specifically driving the revenue generation of the business through managing the sales team, rentals, hospitality and other revenue lines.
You will be required to make autonomous decisions and drive performance targets independently, with the input of the Directors. Although not required, a sound knowledge of the conveyancing process, bond origination, property law and finance is a plus.
Core management duties will include ensuring the CRM system is used efficiently by your department, monitoring and managing commission for Sales Executives, leading and chairing sales meetings, providing timeous reporting based on marketing and sales, managing marketing and sales analytics, performing market research as well as driving the recruitment and learning & development for your team.
External stakeholders include banks and financial institutions, conveyancers and other legal practitioners, bond originators, third party sales and rentals relationships, all suppliers and sub-contractors related to sales and marketing and all client relations.
Reporting directly to the Directors, the successful incumbent will hold a Property Studies, Finance, Legal, or any related undergraduate degree (Preferably paired with Post Graduate Studies). They should possess 8 to 10 years' management experience in the Property Development, Banking, Corporate Sales or related industries, preferably in a client-facing role.
It is also beneficial to have experience in residential property but vital to have at least 4 years' experience in managing sales related or client facing teams and operating in an executive role. Well-articulated with great attention to detail, you will be entrusted with maintaining the order of operations, while improving and streamlining systems with a willingness to put on any hat when needed.
