Macdonald & Company are delighted to be working with a City of London based Property Consultancy that are looking for a Ratings Surveyor, to join their growing business. The company focus largely on Retail and Industrial assets on behalf of both blue chip international and national clients. This is a growing business that have been thriving in recent years and hugely increased the companies headcount; they are a family orientated firm that offer flexible/hybrid working and take their staff on Ski Trips and annual trips abroad.The Role:
- Growing and managing a portfolio of clients to minimise their business rates liabilities
- Carrying out surveys and inspections
- Manage a diverse business rates caseload
- Understand and keep abreast of all the latest business rates case law developments and valuation and upper tribunal cases to aid advice based on the latest legal developments
- Negotiating and settling appeals against rating assessments, including presenting cases at Valuation Tribunals
- Managing the check, challenge, appeal process
- Supporting the lease advisory team in developing Landlord and Tenant opportunities from existing and new clients
- MRICS Qualified - Happy to speak with those that are close to sitting their APC
- Experience within a Rating discipline
- Communicative and strong team player
