Job Summary
Our leading last mile logistics client in Europe is seeking a Technical Manager in their growing Duesseldorf office.Responsibilities:
- Manage construction projects and planned maintenance activities for assets in the portfolio;
- Prepare multi-year maintenance budgets and periodic management reports;
- Work closely with external contractors and suppliers to ensure the timely completion of projects within the forecasted budget;
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards;
- Monitor maintenance obligations of both tenants and landlords;
- Coordinate routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities across the portfolio;
- Conduct regular site inspections of ongoing construction or repair works to monitor progress and quality;
- Implement and oversee sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental externalities;
- Inspect vacant units, prepare administrative reporting, and identify potential improvements;
- Prepare service charge budgets and monitor actuals to report to tenants, suppliers, or other third parties;
- Provide technical expertise and insight on proposed construction or development initiatives for existing assets and proposed acquisitions;
Qualifications:
- Preferably obtained a university degree (not mandatory);
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in construction or similar position;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications, specifically MS Word and Excel;
- Acute attention to detail;
- Experience with Yardi is a plus, but not required;
- Independent yet strong team player;
- Eager to learn, motivated, and ambitious;
- Excellent communication skills in German (and preferably also in English);
- Commercial mindset and a hands-on mentality;
- Valid driver's license;
