Job Summary
Portfolio Manager sought for residential property fund.Our client provides a variety of solutions and property management services for predominantly residential buildings in the CBD's of Johannesburg and Pretoria, as well as in urban settings in Sandton and Cape Town. Their entrepreneurial leadership purchase and rejuvenate existing buildings, upgrading them into well maintained and sought-after residential spaces and precints.
To ensure that their tenants’ best interest are kept at heart, this dynamic company also carries out all the management of their properties internally from cleaning and security right through to property and asset management.
Due to the growth trajectory of the portfolio, they are looking for someone to join a team of 5 portfolio managers who between them manage 6,000 units currently - growing to 7,500 in the short term. Working with on-site building managers whom you will be expected to lead and develop skills in, your duties will include; tenant relations; budgeting and reporting; revenue & expense management; stock purchasing; inventory management; building management and OHS compliance. This role will have you on the road regularly, as you must visit each of your sites at least twice a month - and you will have up to 6 buildings in your portfolio.
To be a suitable applicant you will need to have a property or finance related degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role looking after a minimum of 1,000 units. Experience in MDA is essential preferred but MS Office skills are a Must Have. This position would best suit an ambitious, organised and pro-active individual.
