Job Summary

Having acquired a significant retail portfolio, our client is looking to increase capacity within their asset management team. With property administration outsourced, new tenants being sought by a 3rd party and various redevelopment projects being planned or under way, they are looking for a specialist within the shopping centre space who can work in either their Cape Town or Johannesburg offices. Reporting to the Head of Asset Management, you will join a small team which needs individuals who are able to "think on their feet" and who will be able to guide and grow the directly employed centre and community managers, facilities staff and finance teams. Expect regular travel to malls which are spread throughout the country, where you will be involved in all aspects of the shopping centres. The Malls under ownership vary from large, dominant regional malls to lower LSM urban centres, and requires people who are able to adapt to a wide variety of situations, people and stakeholders whilst conceiving of an implementing purpose-built management strategies.
