Job Summary
Our client, a leading real estate investment firm, boasts a diverse portfolio of retail, commercial, and residential assets both locally and internationally. They also manage their assets through an in-house property management company. Following a recent resignation within their retail portfolio, they are on the hunt for an experienced Property Accountant to join them.Reporting to the head of Finance, you’ll handle the full spectrum of accounting, ensuring accuracy and completeness. This will include: Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, processing accruals and prepayments, bank statement reconciliation, updating and reconciling interest tables, managing bond payments and VAT submissions and assisting auditors with queries.
Requirements:
- Preference will be given to candidates in possession of a tertiary accountancy / finance qualification.
- 3+ years of real estate accounting experience
- Proficiency in MDA property software and MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
