We have partnered with a global real estate investment manager that is looking to add to their Korean office. They first established a presence in Korea in early 2000s and currently manage c. $1.2bn USD on behalf of both Korean and international clients with plans to expand its business and platform.
Role overview
We are recruiting an Asset Management & Development Manager to oversee and manage an existing portfolio of assets working closely with the investment teams in Korea, and fund management teams in Singapore.

Overview of Asset Management & Development Manager Role
  • The Asset Management & Development Manager role involves overseeing and managing an existing portfolio of assets, working closely with investment teams in Korea and fund management teams in Singapore.
  • The responsibilities include asset management, focusing on leasing, preparation of hold/sell analysis, implementing strategic asset plans, managing property managers, collaborating with development managers, and providing strategic and asset management input for potential acquisition opportunities.
  • Additionally, the role involves executing the development management functions necessary to successfully complete a mandated development program, providing oversight of due diligence for potential acquisitions, managing third-party consultants, and controlling the quality, cost, and schedule functions for the development.
Experience, Qualifications, and Competencies Required
  • The ideal candidate for this role should have a university degree in civil engineering, architecture, real estate, or surveying.
  • Along with a minimum of 10 years of related experience, preferably at a private equity fund or asset management company.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English is highly preferred, along with in-depth knowledge and good exposure in the property development market, business/economic environment, government structures, and regulations of South Korea.
  • Other essential qualifications include confidence and assertiveness to interact and negotiate diplomatically, detail-mindedness with strong commercial common sense, and the ability to plan, organize, and lead effectively.
