Senior Project Manager – Urban Regeneration – North West

Job Type

Job Summary

Buildings are made by people, for people. They aren't made to last forever, and there are large swathes of our urban landscape that need some love and attention; either because the buildings themselves are no longer fit for purpose, or the area they are in has changed and needs expansion or repurposing. Or maybe a mix of everything.

This property developer gets involved in regeneration of these such areas. The communities of people in social housing; improving and expanding the homes, schools, parks and wider facilities to bring the standard of life up to a level more appropriate for today's families. Working alongside councils, local authorities and housing associations, you'll be leading the development and strategy around the various improvements. Building new houses and apartments that the communities need, creating shared spaces for them, and demolishing and remediation of the areas that don't work any more.

Based in or around Manchester, you'll need to have at least 5 years of experience working as a development/project manager through the design, development and construction phases of projects in the built environment. Ideally you'll also have some experience with handling multiple stakeholders. And needless to say, wanting to be involved in these types of projects and making a real difference to the lives of these communities is paramount.
