Surveyor – Commercial Property Management/Lease Advisory

Macdonald & Company are delighted to be working with a boutique property company in the West End. The company are looking to continue the growth of the business with the addition of a surveyor that will focus on Property Management and Lease Advisory duties across their commercial portfolios. The company own and advise on property & asset management strategies on high quality offices in London and are passionate and innovative using the latest technology to deliver hospitality-led schemes focusing on occupier satisfaction. You'll be working on exciting projects that make a positive impact on the environment and community. 

As part of your role you will be creating and implement service charge budgets and asset management strategies for commercial buildings as well as leading on a nationwide charity portfolio. You will be based in London but with a UK-wide remit. You will work alongside the Portfolio Manager, Accounts team, Facilities and Professional Department. 

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Ensure all properties allocated to you are fully functional, operating normally and managed in accordance with client’s requirements.
  • Carry out any professional transactions relating to your portfolio.
  • Manage tenants, including any tenant requests and check in and out.
  • Provide outstanding service as a senior point of contact for all occupiers and clients.
  • Manage all service charge budgets and cash flow relating to your properties.
  • Create, implement and drive asset management strategies for your buildings.
  • Identify and implement strategies and accreditations that will improve the sustainability of your portfolio.
  • Work with the Facilities Management department and Portfolio Manager and ensure all contracts and contractors are performing well.
  • Generally assist the Portfolio Manager including onboarding new business.
  • Managing building staff within your portfolio.
  • Lead on the lease management and professional matters in relation to our nationwide non-profit portfolio.
  • Meet with clients regularly and prepare all client reports with the help of our team assistant.
  • Prepare monthly KPIs and any information requested for the Director’s board meeting.
  • Assist the Executive team with developing new business and opportunities.
About You:
  • Ideally MRICS or AssocRICS, 3-5 year's overall experience will be considered
  • At least 3+ years of commercial management experience
  • Experience of working on Qube Property Software would be advantageous
  • Self-starter
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Diligence and high attention to detail
  • Organisational skills
