Technical Development Manager

Job Summary

• Contribute to the development of new product concepts, operational solutions, and feasibility assessments for both new developments and upgrades to existing assets.
• Take technical ownership of building design for new construction projects, including complex logistics facilities, as well as refurbishment and redevelopment initiatives.
• Evaluate the technical feasibility and development potential of land acquisitions and existing real estate assets.
• Conduct technical and environmental due diligence for brownfield acquisition opportunities.
• Manage the building design process by coordinating with clients, architects, consultants, engineers, and other project stakeholders to deliver optimal technical solutions.
• Oversee the planning approval and permitting process, ensuring all required documentation is prepared and submitted while working closely with local authorities to secure approvals efficiently.
• Lead contractor procurement activities, including tender management, contract negotiations, and full project delivery across Germany.
• Develop technical specifications, project documentation, and cost estimates to support commercial and investment decisions.
• Coordinate energy and utility-related infrastructure projects, including grid capacity upgrades, battery storage systems, photovoltaic installations, and EV charging infrastructure.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Business Development, Legal, Transactions, Asset Management, and Fund Management, to ensure successful project execution.

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least five years of proven experience managing, designing, or advising on large-scale and technically complex construction projects.
• Experience with energy, utilities, or power infrastructure projects is considered an advantage.
• Strong combination of technical expertise and project management capabilities, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proactive, commercially minded professional with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
• Results-driven with a strong sense of accountability, financial awareness, risk management, quality assurance, and effective planning.
• Fluent in both German and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
