London leads world in Health and Safety

London continues to lead the world in the implementation of Health and Safety practices according to statistics released by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

The HSE has implemented its initiatives to reinforce its message to the construction industry that poor standards will not be tolerated and are liable to result in enforcement action, a strong message when construction across the globe is rising, however health and safety incidents continue to decline.

Conducting site risk assessments, displaying the correct signage, ensuring personnel are trained and work together with the local authorities are all pivotal to maintaining a culture of Health and Safety in one of the most high-risk professions.

As the world's skyline continue to evolve, construction will always be a high-risk profession but Health and Safety in the UK’s Capital will continue to be an example for others.
