After graduating from Royal Agricultural University, James spent his early career working for a surveying firm in Exeter where he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor. After 5 years practicing as a Surveyor, he moved to London where he commenced his real estate recruitment career working for Macdonald & Company a leading international recruitment consultancy for real estate and the built environment.
After 19 years with the business where he rose to Director in charge of the General Practice team he spent a short time working at a boutique Executive Search firm followed by Director positions with 2 further real estate focused recruitment agencies. In September 2023 James rejoined Macdonald & Company where he focuses on senior level hires within the Investment and Asset/Fund Management space.
James has over 25 years of real estate recruitment experience, he is extremely well connected and networked in the market and during his career he has worked for a diverse range of clients.
