Nicholas has worked in the construction and development recruitment sectors for 11 years. In his role as Head of the Development and Special Projects he leads our work with some of the world’s most reputable development and investment companies, spanning FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 companies to new start-ups within emerging sectors. His work has included the recruitment for a series of C-Suite appointments across some of the largest developments in London. In his role as Head of Special Projects, Nicholas leads our most agile recruitment partnerships, aimed at equipping our clients with the tools and resources necessary to succeed in the current talent market.

Nick has worked in the London residential development sector for over a decade and is also a former Cabinet Member of a London Borough. Nick joined Pocket Living in 2013 and is responsible for corporate strategy, commercial partnerships and land acquisition. He is a chartered surveyor and chartered town planner.

Pat Hayes was appointed Managing Director of Be First in August 2017. Previously he was Executive Director of Regeneration & Housing with Ealing Council during which time the borough became one of the most successful in London at attracting new developments and transforming public housing stock. Pat was responsible for bringing forward the Southall Wayerside development with the Berkeley Group, South Acton Estate with Countryside Properties and the delivery of Ealing Film Works with St George. He oversaw the evolution of the council’s housing company Broadway Living as a major build to rent developer.Before joining Ealing, Pat worked for Transport for London as Director of Borough Partnerships and prior to that, spent four years at Lewisham Council as Executive Director for Regeneration and Environment. Pat has worked for five other boroughs during a twenty five year career in local government.

Neil Young

Neil has over 25 years' experience in the residential and hospitality sectors. Over this period he has had his business for 17 years (Young, formerly known as Young Group), built an extensive personal property portfolio, been Chief Executive of Get Living - the pioneer in a new sector (Build to Rent) for five years - as well as working in Hong Kong with British Airways. Both Get Living and Young London have been multi award winning companies.

Laure Duhot 

Managing Director, Duhot Consulting

20 years experience at senior executive level in the property sector, with a focus on investment, particularly in alternative real estate where high degree of branding and operational expertise is required (i.e. PRS, senior living). Proven successful track record in fund management, corporate finance and capital raising. Led c. £16.5bn transactions, including £9bn capital raising. Prior professional experience in private equity, project finance and investment banking. NED on different property companies and funds boards for past 18 years.
