Job Summary

A market leading Property Development, Investment and Asset Management business has an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant who is keen to progress their career within a fast-moving real estate business.

This dynamic organization has experienced year on year growth and is currently moving forwards with a highly transactional investment strategy which is designed to complement one of their existing enterprises consisting of a build to rent portfolio containing highly profitable large scale operational sites across the UK.

They have built a solid reputation for developing first class schemes that provide the most innovative and desirable rental experiences for their tenants.
This has resulted in financial performance that consistently exceeds forecasted results, in conjunction with providing long term income streams.

As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will assist a well organized team of finance professionals with monthly and quarterly reporting across landmark operational residential development schemes.

Key Responsibilities include;
 
  • Support the Management Accountant with a variety of accounting and financial reporting tasks across BTR operational sites.
  • Assist with the preparation and production of monthly management accounts encompassing variance analysis of actuals vs budget with associated commentary.
  • Prepare and post month end journals, pre-payments and accruals
  • Undertake and coordinate bank and supplier reconciliations.
  • Preparation of monthly direct debit files
  • Attend to finance related supplier and tenant queries
  • Provide assistance with year end audits

The successful candidate will have acquired practical experience as an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or Assistant Management Accountant who has a degree in Accounting and Finance grade 2:1 and above or educated to AAT level 3 and above or currently studying towards CIMA, ACCA or ACA.

In addition, you will be adept in coordinating AP/AR functions, undertaking bank reconciliations in conjunction with supporting month end reporting and processes preferably within the property and real estate sector, although that is not essential.

Finally, you will have exemplary written and verbal communication skills with a natural enthusiasm for finance and accounting with a keen analytical eye for detail.
