Our client, a prestigious property management company overseeing a vibrant mixed-use Sectional Title building in the heart of Cape Town's bustling CBD, currently seeking a proactive and diligent Building Manager to ensure the seamless operation and maintenance of their esteemed property.As the Building Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the common areas of the building, including the servicing of all plant and equipment, as well as overseeing essential shared services such as cleaning and security. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting regular inspections to uphold cleanliness standards and ensuring professionalism among security staff. You will excel in fostering positive tenant relations, managing procurement processes for cleaning supplies, and overseeing repairs while adhering to budgetary constraints. Additionally, you will compile monthly reports, aid in budget preparation, and coordinate essential emergency procedures such as fire drills. Your expertise in ensuring the functionality of emergency systems, compliance with safety regulations, and effective oversight of contractors will be paramount. Furthermore, you will be tasked with arranging routine servicing of utilities, negotiating service contracts, and ensuring strict adherence to health and safety protocols.
To thrive in this role, you must possess your own vehicle and hold a Diploma or degree in Facilities Management, Property Management, or a related field. A minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar capacity is required.
