Robert founded Reuter Simkin Limited, a recruitment business in both the legal and property sectors in 1973. Reuter Simkin had both Kleinwort Benson Development Capital and Charterhouse Development Capital as investors.

In 1995 Robert established Macdonald & Company as a specialist property recruitment consultancy in London and with Peter Moore completed the reverse takeover of Prime People in January 2006.

As group CEO, Peter oversees Macdonald & Company across the international offices. Peter is a Chartered Surveyor who has worked in the Real Estate Human Capital & Talent Sector for over twenty years. He specialises in advising clients globally upon topics such as staff retention, talent selection, recruitment, mergers and acquisition, human resource policy and remuneration bench-marking and advice.

Dugald joined Macdonald & Company in 2013 and is responsible for driving operational excellence and profitability. As well as overseeing global commercial and operational functions his remit involves the appraisal of strategic investments. Now based in London, Dugald has spent two stints in Hong Kong and, prior to his current position, he managed operations for the Asia business units.

John is Chairman of Photo-Me International PLC and several private companies.

He has served as chairman or main board director of a number of PLCs. John is a solicitor (non-practicing) latterly serving as a consultant to Eversheds.

Chris joined the Board of Macdonald & Company as Finance Director in June 2000 retiring in 2016 but remaining on the Board in a non-executive capacity. He is now Chairman of our Audit Committee and second member of the Remuneration Committee as of February 2020.
