Job Summary

A global family office presents a dynamic opportunity for an experienced and strategic leader to join our team as the Global Head of Real Estate. This role is pivotal in shaping our physical presence across the UK, US, and Africa ensuring our real estate strategy aligns seamlessly with our business objectives, with a strong emphasis on asset optimisation and performance.
 
As the Global Head of Real Estate, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive global real estate strategy that supports the company's growth and operational needs. Leading a team of real estate and asset management professionals, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to acquire, develop, and maximise the performance of the company's real estate portfolio.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Strategic Planning
  • Develop and implement a global real estate strategy that aligns with the Group's business goals and objectives, with a strong focus on asset optimisation.
  • Analyse market trends, economic indicators, and industry developments to identify opportunities and risks.
 
Portfolio & Asset Management
  • Oversee the acquisition, leasing, and disposition of properties globally, emphasising asset performance and value enhancement.
  • Implement asset management strategies to optimise returns, mitigate risks, and drive overall portfolio performance.
 
Financial Management
  • Manage the real estate and asset management budget, forecasting, and financial reporting for the Group.
  • Overseeing and negotiating where appropriate lease agreements, purchase contracts, and other financial arrangements to secure favourable terms and maximize asset value.
 
Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with senior leadership team, student operating business, investment, finance, development and other internal and external key stakeholders to integrate real estate and asset management plans with the Group's overall business strategy.
  • Responsible for the project management and seamless execution of real estate and asset management initiatives.
 
Risk Management
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with real estate transactions, asset management, and operations.
  • Stay informed about legal and regulatory requirements related to the Group's real estate and asset holdings globally.
 
Team Leadership
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages professional growth and development.
 
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 10 years of experience in real estate management, with a proven track record of success in asset optimization and performance management.
  • Strong understanding of real estate market dynamics, financial analysis, and portfolio optimization.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
